Hi I’m Denny Murdock (Scotty)  I served in the U S Army during the first half of the 60s.  I grew up in north central Mn. On a dairy farm, attended school 1 – 12 in a class of 30.  Enlisted in the Army during my senior year and 2 Days after graduation I was in Fort  Lenard Wood for basic, Then on to Camp Polk for AIT. Currently, I was getting $62.00 a mo.  plus, room & board. I was offered a chance to go to jump school and get another $55.00 a mo.  I grabbed that and went to Fort Benning. When I completed jump school, I was offered a chance  go to parachute riggers school at Fort Lee. During this time, I applied for SF school and headed  off to Fort Brag. Upon completion I was sent to the 10th. Group SF unit at Bad Tolz Germany.  In April of 65 I got out and headed back to northern M.     I got married, had 3 children, and worked in residentials building construction till 69 and then  got into Law Enforcement. Still worked in const. on the side. In 74 I started a Maple Syrup  company called Gun Lake Sugarbush and produced 300 – 400 gal a year depending on the  climate. In 80 I sold that and started teaching motorcycle safety classes for the M.S.F.  In 84 I started a fiberglass mfg. co called North Star Mfg. LLC. And produced travel trailers  for behind the big touring motorcycles, sold that business in 90. All the while still working  Law Enforcement. I retired from law enforcement in 91 and moved to Grand Junction Co.  In 92 I started the W.C.M.S.P. (Western Colorado Motorcycle Safety Program) and taught  the entire west slope until 2002 when I retired again and moved to Anderson S.C.
