VHVA Donation Statement

Vets Helping Vets Anderson is an Anderson County veterans group registered as a South Carolina corporation and is also registered as a 501-C3 nonprofit corporation with the Internal Revenue Service.

Our mission is our name: Vets Helping Vets. We are veterans who watch each other’s back. The “About Us” tells more of who we are. Our targeted influence for memberships and gifting is the veteran population in the upstate South Carolina area. 

Our target for gifting is a veteran within this targeted area with a short-term significant financial or non-financial need. All donations (100%) are used to this end. We use no part of any donation for administrative expenses. All our operating expenses are met by our own donations at every weekly meeting as we “pass the hat”. We have no paid staff positions. We are 100% voluntary.

Our Board of Directors make all donation decisions following our written guidelines. Our value for your donation consideration is that our donations honor one over-riding criterion – the recipient must be a veteran. The giving is without any constraints or other qualifications such as conditions of service, disability, rank, or length of service. We give to a veteran who has an acute need that impacts their quality of their life. This can be financial or even our own labor and your donation-provided materials for a project that makes daily life easier for a needy veteran.

We sincerely appreciate the time you invested by reading this. You are on your way to helping us help a veteran. We certainly appreciate any donation you may feel appropriate to our mission. We will acknowledge any donation and provide a written letter of confirmation for any donation of $25 or more.
