Our mission is to assist veterans with the array of issues they may face, including obtaining proper disability compensation, financial assistance, information on the GI bill, and more. We have created some helpful guides and will continuously be adding more. We want to make sure vets have all the resources necessary to ensure they struggle with their health and finances as little as possible.
MOAA - MILITARY OFFICERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
Piedmont Chapter, MOAA, is a local and national organization supporting veteran issues (primarily benefits). We meet socially and are open to all military officers and NCOs.

The Veteran/Veteran's representative, or the community emergency care facility/hospital should call the Emergency Care Notification CALL CENTER within 72 hours of the services (our VA station # is 544 if they ask you)

OFFICE OF COMMUNITY CARE CLAIMS ADJUDICATION & REIMBURSEMENT: Please direct ALL claims/reimbursement questions about VA payments for hospital bills to 1-877-881-7618. The VA patient advocate can also help you with bills 1-803-776-4000 ext. 22740.

DAV
Meets every Tuesday morning from 8am to noon at the American Legion
DAV is a nonprofit charity that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations and their families, helping more than 1 million veterans in positive, life-changing ways each year. Annually, the organization provides more than 600,000 rides to veterans attending medical appointments and assists veterans with well over 200,000 benefit claims. In 2019, DAV helped veterans receive more than $21 billion in earned benefits. DAV’s services are offered at no cost to all generations of veterans, their families and survivors.
