I grew up and still live on a grain farm in Bowling Green, Ohio that my grandfather bought in 1895. My dad farmed it until 1974 when he retired. Now it is owned by me, my brother and sister, and farmed by my cousins.

I worked as a mechanic in a Ford & Lincoln-Mercury dealership from 1967 to 2004. Then I opened my own shop from 2004 to 2018.  When I retired, my wife and I found a house in Anderson, SC to spend the winter months.

I am into old cars and hot rods.  I met a VHVA member at a car cruise in April of 2018. He told me about VHVA meetings in Anderson. That is when I met Tommy Forrest with Anderson Quilts of Valor. Now my wife and I are members of Anderson Quilts of Valor.

On a personal note:  Loretta sews and I am Tommy's helper and Goffer.
